Salmon Creek Little League

2020 Summer Ball Intent & Refund Information

Hello Salmon Creek Little League families and friends,

We have all been through a tough few months, perhaps hardest on our kids. Our SCLL Board has been keeping a close eye on the changing guidelines for the State of Washington and Little League, and are thrilled to be announcing our Salmon Creek Little League Summer 2020 Season! As with many things these days, summer ball will have some changes. One thing that won't change is our commitment to developing your players fundamentals, creating friendships and memories that last well beyond the season and having a great time together!

Please note that we need ALL players and coaches who were registered to play this past spring season to complete the Summer Intent and Refund Options google form even if you are not going to play during the upcoming summer season.

Intent Form - please complete by Wednesday, June 17th

In order for us to know how many players will be returning and how to handle your Spring Registration Fees, we need each player and coach to complete the intent form here, whether you plan to play or not. To confirm that your player wants to participate in the SCLL Summer Season, you will complete the Intent Form, one form per player. The form will ask you a few short questions including your players team and division for the Spring Season. You will also be asked how you would like us to apply the balance of funds remaining from your Spring Registration fees. Most importantly, the form will ask you to agree to the guidelines defined in our Salmon Creek Little League Return to Play Safety Plan.

SCLL Return to Play Safety Plan

The safety of our players, coaches, volunteers and everyone at the ballpark is our highest priority. SCLL has taken into consideration the recommendations of the CDC, Washington State's Re-Opening Plan and the guidelines set forth by Little League International to create a Return to Play Safety Plan that will enable us to return to the game safely. Your cooperation and adherence to this safety plan is what will allow us to return to the ballpark safely. Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation. You can read the full plan here.

Summer Season Structure

Much like our Fall Ball season, this Summer Season is intended to be fun and instructional with our goal being to improve our players fundamental skills and increase their understanding of the game. The season will be low key and designed to get everyone back on the ball field together. Teams won't be competing for a division title or striving for a place on the All-Star team, instead, we will all enjoy our beautiful summer weather and watch our players build confidence and a love of the game. Where we can, we will keep team's as rostered this spring, understanding that some modifications may need to be made depending on the number of players who join us.

Fees

The fee for the Summer Season is $50, lower than both our Spring and Fall ball rates. When you complete the Intent Form, we will ask you how you would like the balance from your Spring Registration fees handled. You will have an option to donate your balance to Salmon Creek Little League. These donations will help the league recover some of the dollars lost due to the absence of fundraising this year and to offset our costs incurred last winter as we prepared for Spring ball. If you are not in a position to donate, or choose not to do so, we will be happy to refund the balance back to you. As always, our goal is that every girl or boy who wants to play ball can! We have a generous scholarship fund available to help every kid play ball. Please let us know if we can help by replying to this email.

We could not be more excited to see you and your families back at the ballpark! If you have any questions, please reply to this email and we will get someone to help you.

Please remember to complete your Intent Form by next Wednesday, June 17th.
