What is provided to all Salmon Creek Volunteer Coaches?

Salmon Creek Little League is dedicated to helping any volunteer to become a successful, effective Coach. No experience is needed to volunteer and we supply enough equipment to field a team.

Training:

Salmon Creek Little League hosts two Coaching Clinics designed for all levels of coaching experience. The clinics are led by:

  • Chris Sperry - Head Coach of the University of Portland Pilots baseball team.

Practice and Program Organization

Developing Efficient Infielders

  • Hank Jones - Professional Player, Coach and MLB Scout

Umpire Clinics

Prior to the season, Salmon Creek Little League conducts an Umpire clinic for everyone in the league. See the calendar page for date and time.

Support from your Commissioner and Coaching Coordinator:

Questions about rules or need help organizing practices? You have resources in both the Commissioner for your division and the Coaching Coordinator.


Equipment:

Salmon Creek Little League provides enough baseball equipment to successfully field a team:

  • 2 bats
  • 6 batting helmets
  • Catcher's gear: knee/shin protectors, chest shield, catcher's helmet, and catcher's glove
  • Baseballs
  • Practice bases
  • Batting tee (in T-Ball)
  • Uniforms: shirts, hats
